Happy Child’s House of Commons Christmas Fundraising Dinner –9thDecember 2021

Updated: Nov 5, 2021

Over the last decade the House of Commons has served Happy Child International well. We have held so many wonderful fundraising evenings in this illustrious location. Time and time again the attraction of this magnificent venue has galvanised our loyal and committed supporters to come and join us. Who would not enjoy the experience of such an exclusive location and being in an ambience steeped in history and pageantry where so much drama has unfolded over a millennium?

Certainly organising a Dinner like this provides all its own drama for Happy Child’s small team. At the start of the journey we ask ourselves the same rhetorical questions “Will we be able to sell enough tickets?, where will we get prizes from?, will the Auctioneer turn up?, will the technology work on the night?, will we raise enough funds?, will we get enough volunteers to help us on the night”. These questions all hang in the air and half way through we say to ourselves “Just keep going, it will be alright on the night. And it usually is!”

Fundraising is all about building relationships and enabling people to enjoy themselves. This is our experience and this occasion provides the perfect opportunity to deliver both. The focus of the evening is to generate committed engagement and support for the charities tireless work with vulnerable children and young people in Brazil. For more than a quarter of a century its vital work has been transforming individual lives. The spotlight is definitely meant to fall on those who are at the heart of our vision and for whom all the effort and energy of putting on such an evening is more than worth investing in.

We hope that all our guests will enjoy this one off occasion. Marvellous surroundings, world class food and entertainment from a top class auctioneer. Come and join us on Thursday 9th December 2021.
